Stephanie is Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) with ancestors rooted in Six Nations of the Grand River Territory and Europe. She is a plant nerd, medicine tender, bridge builder, soil and seed steward, scholar, student, and Earth Worker dedicated to embodying her decolonial values through the practice of biocultural Re-story-ation.
She regenerates soil, reintegrates mycelium, and restores and restories Ecosystems at Sky World Apothecary and Farm, teaches about the connection between plants, land, humans, culture, and kin through a decolonial lens at Seed, Soil, + Spirit School; and is the Co-founder and Relationships and Reciprocity Co-Director at the Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trust where she collaborates with comrades, ancestors, and allies to liberate land and redistrubute land-based wealth with and for Indigenous, Black, and people of color. Stephanie’s work in her PhD program at SUNY ESF Center for Native Peoples and the Environment is focused on Biocultural Re-story-ation in Kanien’kehá:ka and Haudenosaunee territory.
